Never Eat Soggy Waffles

On Monday, the students used iPads to learn about a compass.  The students used the iPad compasses to figure out which direction is North, South, East and West.  Using the phrase "never east soggy waffles" they learned the order of N,S,E,W.  Next the students used their knowledge to create a compass rose on the carpet.  They then figured out how to give directions from our outside door to the playground.  It was a fun lesson!

Wockets in Our Pockets!

In celebration of Dr. Seuss, we have been reading several of his famous book.  For this project, we read Wockets in Our Pockets... and designed Wockets!  Thanks to Andrew's mom for the idea!
